ALTIVO PEDRAS is a company that works with mining, processing, and export of slate, strategically located in the center of the main slate extraction hub in central Brazil, in the city of Papagaios, state of Minas Gerais. ALTIVO PEDRAS began its activities 40 years ago, from humble beginnings, with hard work, dedication, and always aiming to offer the best product and service to its customers. Altivo is an entrepreneur who never stops, always looking for new opportunities that can add value to the work of Altivo Pedras. The expansion into new markets was gradual, and the company currently exports to the largest and most demanding international markets with high levels of satisfaction. Own Quarries

We own quarries producing different colors of slate, especially “ARDÓSIA PRETA”, which is the darkest in the region.

Distinctive Products

We manufacture a variety of slate products such as: Tiles, slabs, billiard table tops, gravel, cubes, strips, steps, thresholds, partitions, garden pieces, and customized products in various sizes, thicknesses, and finishes. Finishes include: polished, brushed, non-slip, natural, and aged.

Products from Altivo Pedras have been tested by European laboratories, and the results confirm compliance with the standards required by the EC (European Commission).

Exclusive Products

ALTIVO PEDRAS is the first company to produce slate slabs in a special size, up to 5 meters long in a single piece.

GRAVEL

Altivo Pedras’ Brita is a construction aggregate produced from industrial slate
waste, transformed into high-quality, low-cost gravel.

Available in different grain sizes:

Gravel dust and gravel 0 → used to make precast concrete and
shackles;
Gravel 1 → used for making pre-cast and concrete;
Gravel 2 → suitable for concreting floors, preparing land, roads,
sidewalks, parking lots, industrial yards, etc;
Drainage gravel → used to facilitate the flow of water and prevent it
from accumulating in a risk area.

INDUSTRIAL SAND

Industrial Sand is made from the industrial waste of slate:
– Fine industrial sand
– Coarse industrial sand
They are used to make precast concrete.

We have trucks and trailers for delivery, ensuring efficient logistics.

Industrial gravel and sand are made from slate processing waste.
In this way, Altivo Pedras seeks to promote sustainable practices,
transforming industrial waste into a new product.
